Kriat, Hauschildt Victorious At Augusta 70.3

Former 70.3 world champion Melissa Hauschildt of Australia dominated the women’s race in Augusta.

Ukraine’s Maxim Kriat edged out the United States’ Nick Waninger to take the men’s title in Georgia. Kriat’s 20:05 swim, 2:10:32 bike and 1:15:39 run were just enough to give him the 3:49:14 win and narrowly hold of Waninger. Waninger’s race-leading 1:13:25 run gave him second, while American Patrick Evoe ran in for the third position.

Former 70.3 world champion Melissa Hauschildt of Australia dominated the women’s race in Augusta. Her 22:02 swim, 2:20:45 bike and 1:20:46 easily gave her the top spot in 4:06:56. Great Britain’s Emma-Kate Lidbury and Ukraine’s Tamara Kzoulina claimed the other two podium spots.
