Hunter Kemper continued his hot streak, while Sarah Haskins once again dominated at a non-drafting Olympic-distance event.

Americans Hunter Kemper and Sarah Haskins won today’s Capital of Texas Triathlon in Austin, Texas. The event, which is part of the Life Time Series Race to the Toyota Cup, welcomed a top-notch non-drafting Olympic-distance pro field for both the men and the women.

The men’s race kicked off with super swimmers Dustin McLarty (USA), Andy Potts (USA) and Cameron Dye (USA) leading into T1. Potts and Dye posted fast transition times and were neck-and-neck to start the bike. Dye held about a one-minute lead over Potts and Kemper to start the run. The lead was not enough as he was first overtaken by Kemper and then Potts. Kemper, who qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic team two weeks ago in San Diego, used his ITU run speed to take the win. Potts finished second, with American Ben Collins running his way to third.

Haskins led Australia’s Annabel Luxford out of the 1.5K swim. Haskins continued to build the gap on the bike. When bike turned to run she held a substantial lead and held it to the finish line. She took home the win in 1:57:58. Luxford earned second, with American Jillian Petersen taking the final podium spot.
