Mauna Lani To Host Ironman Week Events

The Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows, which is building its reputation as a tri-friendly hotel, will be hosting two free pre-race events this week that are open to the public. You can gain last-minute tips from top pros and meet other competitors from around the globe.

The Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows, which is building its reputation as a tri-friendly hotel, will be hosting two free pre-race events this week that are open to the public. You can gain last-minute tips from top pros and meet other competitors from around the globe.

Tonight, Oct. 3 at 5 p.m., Tim DeBoom and Hillary Biscay will be hosting a Swim Q&A. Meet at the lap pool at Mauna Lani Bay. Bring your swim gear including goggles and towel. Personalized swim instruction will be offered depending on attendance. You can learn last-minute tips before tackling the 2.4-mile swim off the Kona Pier and tips for improving your swim technique.

Tomorrow, Oct. 4 at 9 a.m., join Trek/K-Swiss team members Matt Lieto and Fraser Cartmell for a 25-mile easy taper ride along the Queen K Highway. Meet at the front entrance of Mauna Lani Bay.

This Wednesday at 6 p.m., Team Mauna Lani member Hillary Biscay will be hosting an exclusive vegan dinner at the Mauna Lani Bay’s CanoeHouse restaurant. The four-course vegan menu costs $45. During the meal, Biscay will share highlights of her career, provide training and racing tips and talk about her vegan lifestyle.
