Germany’s Anja Beranek was the only athlete who was able to keep pace with eventual winner Daniela Ryf for a good chunk of the bike. Beranek, who crossed the line in fourth after not finishing her first two attempts at this race, talks about the decision to stick with Ryf, how she felt on the marathon and the joy of finally crossing the finish line.
