Ironman Western Australia Set For Saturday

While the North American countries prepare for the winter, New Zealanders and Australians are taking advantage of the Southern Hemisphere weather and are ready to race in Busselton, Australia.

Saturday’s Ironman Western Australia race features a deep field of Australian and New Zealand professionals. Last year’s winner for the men, Australian Tim Berkel, is back to defend his title as the favorite. On the women’s side, Australia’s Charlotte Paul has raced and performed well here year after year and is the favorite with last year’s winner, Australia’s Gina Ferguson, choosing not to race.
