Americans Andy Potts and Sarah Piampiano earned the victories at the 2019 edition of Ironman Brazil in Florianopolis.

Americans Andy Potts and Sarah Piampiano earned the victories at the 2019 edition of Ironman Brazil in Florianopolis. Potts put together a 45:53 swim, a 4:19:13 bike, and a 2:53:40 marathon to edge out Great Britain’s Will Clarke by four minutes to take the victory in 8:02:57. Piampiano was dominant in her win, posting a 58:12 swim, a 4:43:48 bike, and a 2:53:18 marathon to cross the finish line at 8:40:48.
