Sarah True placed fourth in her Kona debut last year, capping off a swift rise to Ironman contender from racing in the Olympics in 2012 and 2016. But what happened next was unexpected: a neurological disorder derailed her Kona qualification plans this year, sending her crashing to the ground at Ironman Frankfurt when she was leading with less than a mile to go–and searching for answers.
