Great Britain’s own Daniel Halksworth and Lucy Gossage claimed the victories at today’s Ironman UK in Bolton, England.

Great Britain’s own Daniel Halksworth and Lucy Gossage claimed the victories at today’s Ironman UK in Bolton, England.
Halksworth was first out of the swim in 43:59, second off of the bike with a split time of 5:42:56 and first at the finish line thanks to a 3:01:20 marathon, claiming an overall time of 8:45:48. British Ironman veteran Stephen Bayliss finished second in 8:49:25. Joe Skipper made it an all-British podium thanks to a 2:57:11 marathon.
Gossage dominated from start to finish with a 52:30 swim, 5:22:13 bike and a 3:10:22 marathon, giving her the 9:29:12 win. Great Britain’s Joanna Carritt finished second 36 minutes later, with Amy Forshaw (GBR) rounding out the top three.
