Her first ever triathlon was in March of 2010. Less than a year and a half later, in August of 2011, she ran through the field in London, took second place overall and, believe it or not…made the 2012 US Olympic Triathlon team.

Gwen Jorgensen, who swam and ran at the University of Wisconsin, had finished up not only her degree but had also earned her CPA as well. While working for Ernst and Young in Milwaukee she was approached by USA Triathlon’s Barb Lindquist about giving the sport of triathlon a shot. As a great swimmer and runner, all she had to do was learn to ride a bike. No problem, right? Her first ever triathlon was in March of 2010.
