France’s Romain Guillaume and the United States’ Jessie Donavan earned the victories at the inaugural Ironman Mont-Tremblant in the Quebec region of Canada.

Guillaume swam in 51:22, biked in 4:35:17 and ran in 3:09:09 to take the 8:40:48 victory. Spain’s Alejandro Santamaria finished second. The United States’ Matthew Russel had a slow swim and spent the day chasing the other pros. Despite a field-leading 2:53:29 marathon, Russel had to settle for third.

The United States’ Jessie Donavan took her second Ironman title of the year (she also won Ironman Lake Placid) thanks to a 1:07:33 swim, 5:06:31 bike and a 3:11:35 marathon. Germany’s Uli Bromme earned second.
