As the 2019 triathlon season starts to heat up, several elite athletes headed to Mooloolaba in the Sunshine Coast of Australia for the iconic ITU World Cup event, which is part of the weekend-long Mooloolaba Triathlon Festival. In the women’s elite race, Australia’s own Ashleigh Gentle beat out 46 others to earn her first Mooloolaba title in 58:15. For the men, it was up-and-coming star Tyler Mislawchuk of Canada who took the victory in 52:14. (Read the women’s and men’s race recaps at Triathlon.org.)
