Best Of The U.S. Weekend Results

The Best of The U.S. Series put on three races this past weekend in three different locations. Below are results from the races in Innsbrook, Mo., Dexter, N.M. and Pleasant Creek State Park, Iowa. To learn more visit Bestoftheustriathletes.com.

Best Of The U.S. Missouri

Missouri’s QuarterMax Triathlon produced champions with experience Saturday, with Joe Company (35, Columbia) taking the overall win and Kristin Moore (35, St. Charles) taking the women’s title. Company represented Missouri at Best of the U.S. Championship in last year, with Moore returning after racing for her state in 2005.

Best Of The U.S. New Mexico

The Milkman Triathlon celebrated its 25th Anniversary in style Saturday. This race is a longtime favorite of the Southwest Challenge Series, with the race consistently attracting the area’s best and brightest triathletes.  This year Milkman was the Rocky Mountain Regional Championship, in addition to hosting the Best of the U.S. New Mexico
Championship for the fifth straight year.

Best Of The U.S. Iowa

Although Mike Morrison was the fourth man across the finish line, he was the first from Iowa giving him the title of Best of the U.S. men’s Iowa Champion. The top women was 24-year-old Erin Anderson from Iowa City.
