Germany’s Patrick Lange captured his first Ironman World Championship title in impressive fashion; he put together a 48:45 swim, a 4:28:53 bike, 2:39:59 marathon to establish a new Kona course record in 8:01:40. After the race, Lange said that during one brief moment on the bike he considered dropping out because he was struggling. Thankfully he stuck it out, coming off of the bike in 11th and running his way to the front of the race and earn the victory. Read the race recap
