Winter Tri World Champions Crowned in Frigid Asiago, Italy

It was a clear, but freezing day, at the 2019 ITU Winter World Triathlon World Championships on Saturday, Feb. 9 with temperatures in Asiago, Italy sitting at -12 degrees. Russia once again proved to be the country to beat when it comes to winter triathlon. In the men’s elite race, Pavel Andreev (RUS) dominated to earn his seventh world title. Fellow Russian Daria Rogozina was the breakthrough athlete of the day, claiming not only the U23 world title but also the overall elite one. Read the complete recap at Triathlon.org.
