In her latest blog update, Great Britain’s Chrissie Wellington revealed her race plans for the next few months. Due to the injuries she suffered in a bike accident at the beginning of January, Wellington will not toe the line of a race until Sunday, June 6 at the Ironman 70.3 Kansas triathlon.

Wellington has continued to train despite the wrist injury.

Wellington’s next race will be at the Quelle Roth Challenge triathlon on July 18. She won both of these races last year and her return at the beginning of June will be highly anticipated. By then, Wellington will not have raced for eight months (since her victory at the Ironman World Championships).

Wellington is currently training in Spain with fellow countrywoman and professional triathlete Catriona Morrison.
