Olympic gold medalist and October Triathlete Magazine cover girl Natalie Coughlin has traded in her cap and goggles in exchange for designer shoes and dresses as she begins a new competitive challenge this week on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

Natalie, along with all the participants, will be introduced during the season premiere on Monday, September 21 at 8pm on ABC. She will officially make her dancing debut on Tuesday, September 22 (8:00-10:00pm, EST) with her partner, fellow Cal alum and season one champion, Alec Mazo when they perform the Foxtrot and Salsa. The three-night premier will conclude on Wednesday, September 23 (8:00-9:00pm, ET) when the votes will be announced and two couples are sent home.

Throughout the season, Natalie will be sharing her DWTS experience through her Twitter (@nataliecoughlin) and Facebook pages so be sure to follow along and vote for Natalie all season long.

Fans may cast their votes for Natalie and Alec via phone on Monday and Tuesday night during and up to 30 minutes after the “Dancing with the Stars” performance shows. (AT&T subscribers may also text message their votes by texting the word “VOTE” and entering the number that corresponds to the team they want to support – standard text message rates apply). Viewers may also vote online at www.abc.com starting from the opening of each episode on the East Coast and until 12:00 Noon, ET the following day.
