American Tim O’Donnell is the newest member of the Trek/K-Swiss triathlon team. O’Donnell, the reigning 70.3 U.S. champion, was already sponsored by K-Swiss and will add Trek to his team of sponsors. O’Donnell was previously sponsored by Argon 18.

In a press release today, Jan. 3, Trek said that O’Donnell will race the Campagnolo Super Record EPS-equipped Speed Concept 9 Series and will kick his season off on the bike at Ironman 70.3 San Juan on March 17.

“We’re proud to welcome such a great athlete into the Trek family,” Trek Triathlon Brand Manager Michael Mayer said in the press release. “Timothy’s highly analytical approach and perseverance give him results that really make him stand out as one of the top pros in the world, making him a perfect fit for Trek/K-Swiss. We’re excited to provide the support of Trek’s dedicated race shop, and can’t wait to see what he can accomplish aboard a Speed Concept.”

“I’m truly excited to announce my new sponsorship agreement with Trek,” Timothy O’Donnell said in the release. “To represent Trek, an iconic American cycling brand with an outstanding pedigree and history of racing success, is a tremendous opportunity in my triathlete career. I’m looking forward to working with Michael, Brandon, and Mark and the entire Trek team… not to mention setting some blistering bike splits on the Trek Speed Concept 9 Series this season!”
