Sun Valley, ID, June 2nd, 2011 — SCOTT Sports announced today that they would donate Linsey Corbin’s custom Plasma3 bicycle to the CAF auction happening next week at the CAF Athletes Foundation Benefit of Heroes, Heart and Hope Live/Silent Auction Event in NYC June 8th.

The bike was built with the intention of auctioning it after it served its purpose as a backup bike for Linsey. “We made two of these limited edition bikes for Linsey. It’s pretty normal to make a spare for Pro athletes when they get a custom paint job. We put the spare on tour around the country at top Triathlon shops as a display bike with intention of Linsey designating a charity for it to be auctioned for, and she chose CAF,” said Adrian Montgomery. “ We are stoked on the charity she chose. I personally admire the mission of CAF and couldn’t think of a better cause to support.”

“Every time I race a triathlon and see a Challenge Athlete Foundation (CAF) competitor out on the course, I think to myself: ‘now, that is impressive.’ I’ve always had a fondness in my heart for the CAF athletes and what they stand for: being relentless, hard-working, resilient, and positive attitudes,” noted Corbin.

“I am excited to partner up with such a great organization and SCOTT Sports to support this great cause. I had the opportunity to ride this same custom-painted Scott Plasma 3 to a top-15 placing at Ironman Hawaii, a 2nd place (course record setting) finish at the 2010 Ironman Arizona, a win at the Pucon 70.3, and two top-10 finishes at California 70.3 and New Orleans 70.3. I hope the brand-new bike we are auctioning off will bring someone as much speed, enjoyment, great memories and a little bit of blood, sweat & tears that is has brought me. “
