Past Olympians Join Elite TrainingBible Coaching Team

Past Olympians Simon Thompson, Ryan Bolton and Carol Montgomery join the Elite TrainingBible Coaching Team led by Joe Friel M.S., the international, best-selling author of the Training Bible book series and founder of TrainingBible Coaching.

“We are pleased to have three former Olympians join our team at TrainingBible Coaching. They add a greater depth of experience to an already highly experienced coaching staff.” states Friel. “Athletes will get the best possible service when working with one of our coaches.”

Simon Thompson is currently a professional triathlete and coach.  He has competed in the 2004 Athens Olympics and the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia.  His latest accolades include finishing in first place at the Singapore 70.3 in 2008 and 3rd in 2009 and was 12th at the ITU World Championships in Vancouver, B.C. “While coaching people to be the best athletes they can be,” states Thompson, “I am also helping them to find happiness and fulfillment by being and doing everything they want in their lives.”

Ryan Bolton has been involved in the endurance sports world for over 20 years. As a professional triathlete, Ryan competed in the Sydney Olympics, won Ironman Lake Placid in 2002, has been on numerous national and world championship teams, and has been a top placer at many professional Olympic, Half Ironman, and Ironman races around the world. His coach was Joe Friel. These experiences as an athlete, combined with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a M.S. in Human Nutrition, give Ryan a very strong background for coaching endurance athletes. Currently, he trains multi-sport athletes and coaches the AmeriKenyan Running Club in Santa Fe, NM, which consists of some of the top distance runner’s in the world.

Carol Montgomery competed at an elite level in the sport of triathlon and running for 16 years.  She has had the opportunity to train alongside and be coached by numerous world-class swim, bike, run athletes and coaches. She represented Canada in two different sports in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games in the first ever Olympic Triathlon event and 10,000 meters on the track. Montgomery also won the bronze medal in the 1999 Pan America Games in Winnipeg, Canada.  She has now turned to coaching bringing with her the same dedication that it took to become an Olympian.

TrainingBible Coaching applies the proven training methodologies and philosophies of its renowned books to client programs. The mission of TrainingBible Coaching is to provide coaching services to results-driven endurance athletes. This incorporates triathlon and cycling athletes from beginner to elite, both male and female.
