Melissa Rollison’s long build-up towards attempting to defend her 70.3 world title this year will continue on the Sunshine Coast this weekend.
It was announced yesterday that the Brisbane-based former steeplechase champion would race at this weekend’s Kings of the Coast Ocean Swim Festival at Caloundra, Queensland, Australia.
Rollison has been a revelation since taking up triathlon about two years ago.
She shocked the sport when she won the Ironman World Championship 70.3 in Las Vegas last year, and will return there in September to try to make it consecutive victories.
Everything she does this year is geared towards keeping that world crown, and she will use the two-day Caloundra event to fine tune her weakest leg – the swim.
