Ironman champ will race both the 2.5-mile Cross Channel Swim and the TriStar111 Nevis International Triathlon.

Chris “Macca” McCormack touches down in St. Kitts this Friday on his way over to Nevis to compete in both the Cross Channel Swim (StarMile 2.5) and the TriStar111 Nevis International Triathlon (1K swim, 100K bike, 10Krun).

The two-time Hawaii Ironman Champion is joined by former World Champion Olivier Marceau who will both serve as athletes and ambassadors with the TriStar Triathlon company. Other pro athletes in attendance will be Brazil’s Fernanda Keller, Britains Emma-Kate Lidbury and Ian Osborne as well as American’s Wolf Guembel and Ben Greenfield. St. Kitts & Nevis’ very own Kim Collins will also be on hand as an event ambassador with France’s Paul Belmondo.

An Australian triathlete known affectionately to the triathlon community as Macca, McCormack began competing on international-distance courses in 1996, winning both the 1997 Triathlon World Championships and the 1997 ITU World Cup Series; to date, no-one else has won both titles in a single year.
