USA Triathlon’s 2011 National Championship event schedule resumes Sunday with the Long Course Duathlon National Championship at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Ala.

Age-group national titles will be on the line in the Powerman Alabama Duathlon, which will serve as the national championship event and is a key part of the two-day Powerman Alabama Multisport Weekend. All competitors in Long Course Duathlon Nationals will complete a 10-kilometer run, followed by a 60-kilometer bike and a second 10-kilometer run.

Nearly 400 athletes are scheduled to race over the course of the weekend with more than 200 slated to compete in the national championship event. Three-time Powerman Alabama Duathlon winner David Thompson (St. Paul, Minn.) highlights the elites scheduled to compete Sunday.
