Inaugural MultiSport Weekend To Take Place In April

The first ever MultiSport Weekend, which will support the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, will take place in Peachtree City, Ga.

The first ever MultiSport Weekend, which will support the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, will take place in Peachtree City, Ga. on April, 25, 2015. According to the press release, organizers expect more than 3,000 athletes to participate in one of the 16 different competitions that will be offered.

The 70:4 Triathlon is the centerpiece for MultiSport Weekend, which will include a 1.3-mile swim, a 56- mile bike ride, and a 13.1-mile run. This distance, 70.4 miles, has also been used by organizers to reinforce its branding with FCA and FCA Endurance, drawing inspiration from the Bible in Psalm 70:4. Additional events offer a combination of running, cycling and aquatic sports disciplines for all levels of participants. There are 13 events for adults and three for children. All courses used for 70:4 triathlon and individual running disciplines will be certified:
– 70:4 Triathlon Individual
– 70:4 Triathlon Team Relay
– Aqua Bike (swim/bike only)
– Dry Land (bike/run only)
– Swim Only (1.3mi)
– Double Swim (2.6mi)
– Road Bike Only (56mi)
– Fat Tire (35mi)
– Half Marathon
– Run 10K
– Run 5K
– Paddle Board Short (1.3mi)
– Paddle Board Long (2.6mi)
– Kids Tri (Mini)
– Kids 1 Mile Fun Run
– Toddler Tot Trot

Organizers have also secured three star athletes to serve as spokespersons for the inaugural event. They include retired professional triathlete Chris Lieto, American marathoner Ryan Hall and All-American football athlete David Pollack. All three are active supporters of FCA.
