Emma Snowsill Signs With Felt

Reigning Olympic gold medalist Emma Snowsill will continue to ride with Felt Bicycles as she works towards the 2012 London Olympics.

Felt Bicycles is pleased to announce that Olympic and three-time World Triathlon Champion Emma Snowsill (AUS) will be racing on Felt bikes through 2013. Snowsill, one of the most accomplished short distance triathletes of all time, will focus on ITU and non-draft legal triathlons in 2011 and look to defend her Olympic Triathlon title in 2012.

“I am thrilled to know I will be riding and racing on a Felt for the next three years. I have known Jim (Felt) since 2003, and ridden his bikes since ‘04,” said Snowsill. “The team at Felt has supported me throughout my career and I am delighted to know I will have the equipment advantage that comes with such a superior brand.”

Despite suffering injuries mid-way through the 2010 season, Snowsill still won the ITU Elite Cup Triathlon in Des Moines and the ITU World Championship Grand Final in Budapest. Her career victories include three ITU World Championships, a Commonwealth Games Championship, and Olympic gold in 2008.

Joining Emma will be Daniela Ryf (SUI) who has also extended with Felt through 2013. The 23-year-old Swiss is a rising star in international distance triathlon and widely considered to have a very bright future at the elite level. She is a former U23 ITU World Champion and won the 2010 ITU World Championship Series race in Seoul.

In draft-legal events, Snowsill race a ZW, Felt woman-specific road bike, while Ryf has opted for an AR, the world’s fastest aero road bike. Both will race the Felt DA in non-drafting events.

Snowsill and Ryf join fellow Felt elite triathletes Terenzo Bozzone (NZL), Michellie Jones (AUS), and Tim DeBoom (USA).
