Emma Moffatt, Brad Kahlefeldt Take Australian Sprint Championships

Olympic triathletes Emma Moffatt and Brad Kahlefeldt kick-started their 2011 World Championship campaigns with victories in the Australian Sprint Triathlon Championships in Geelong.

Olympic triathletes Emma Moffatt and Brad Kahlefeldt kick-started their 2011 World Championship campaigns with victories in the Australian Sprint Triathlon Championships in Geelong.

First it was defending world champion Moffatt who showed all her class, scampering away on the final lap of the run to beat Canadian Kirsten Sweetland to win her second national sprint title.

Then it was boyfriend and coach Kahlefeldt’s turn to tame the picturesque 750-meter swim; 20-kilometer bike and five-kilometer run course.
