New Zealand’s Tony Dodds was in imperious form as he claimed victory at the Oceania Sprint Triathlon Championships in Kinloch, New Zealand today, leaving a trail of international triathletes behind him in idyllic conditions as the mercury threatened 30 degrees Celsius. On the women’s side, Nicky Samuels continued to dominate the New Zealand triathlon scene, taking the sprint victory.
In the Olympic-distance competition, Kieran Doe and Jo Lawn took out the prestigious Erin Baker Trophy race. They competed against a number of high profile triathletes who showed up as to tune-up for next month’s Ironman New Zealand triathlon.
