DeBoom To Race Ironman 70.3 Kansas

Another Ironman world champion will join two-time Ford Ironman world champion Chrissie Wellington at the starting line at the 2009 Ironman 70.3 Kansas Triathlon.

Tim DeBoom is also a two-time Kona champion and has just been added to the professional list for the June 14th race in Lawrence, Kansas. Deboom’s other Ironman wins include Ironman New Zealand and Ironman California. He has also won Ironman 70.3 races at Eagleman, Vineman and California.

DeBoom is also a two-time Triathete of the Year and has been selected as US Olympic Committee Athlete of the month twice in his career.
The Boulder, Colorado resident will be gearing up for another run at winning the Ford Ironman World Championship in Kona this fall and will use Ironman 70.3 Kansas as a test race to see how his training is progressing this season.

Ironman 70.3 Kansas is still open for registration at Ironmankansas.com and will take place at Clinton State Park in Lawrence, Kansas.
