Americans James Cotter and Kelly Williamson outran their fellow professionals to take victories at today’s Ironman 70.3 Steelhead.

Cotter earned one of the most prominent victories of his career today by turning in steady efforts on the swim and bike, and outpacing the field with a 1:16:00 half marathon.

Williamson turned in a fast swim and then held off one of the fastest cyclists in the sport, Heather Jackson, to continue her strong season, earning the victory in 4:15:41.
