Andrew Yoder, Laurel Wassner Set To Defend Titles in Columbia

Yoder, Wassner lead field of pros and age-groupers in one of the most challenging and longest running triathlons in the country.
The triathletes return to Columbia, Maryland, in force this weekend for the Columbia Triathlon, which is considered one of the most challenging triathlons in the United States. The race will be held Sunday in and around Centennial Park beginning at 6:40 a.m.
Professional triathletes Andrew Yoder and Laurel Wassner will be returning to defend their 2010 titles. Tim DeBoom, a two-time Ironman World Champion, 2002 Ironman 70.3 EagleMan champion and Ironman 70.3 EagleMan course-record holder will compete as well.
The 2011 Columbia Triathlon is the “Best of The U.S.” qualifier event for the state of Maryland.
