For those who need more than a simple triathlon festival, there are multi-day events popping up all around the world, especially in the U.S. While the Survival of the Shawangunks is no doubt the most unique (the race circumnavigates an untamed portion of upstate New York via eight grueling swimming, biking and running stages), no multisport stage race is quite like the American Triple-T in Portsmouth, Ohio. The three-day event pushes athletes through four triathlons totaling 140 miles. The Triple-T certainly isn’t for beginners. Many finishers compare the race to an Ironman in terms of difficulty. Sounds like fun, right?
