Senior editor Jené Shaw attended elite coach Darren Smith’s Tridynamic age grouper camp in Morzine, France, last weekend, taking part in four jam-packed days of learning from one of the sport’s best coaches. Smith’s crew of stellar ITU athletes—including 2012 Olympic silver medalist Lisa Norden, Jodie Stimpson, Aileen Reed and more—were often training alongside the age groupers, and offered insight on what it’s like to compete at their level.
