The Draw: Race-Ready for Any Distance
Trek’s Speed Concept is another bike with a high-end, race-ready setup at a price you’d expect for a mid-level ride that needs upgrades. Decent race wheels matched with a true Ultegra spec (no shortcuts here) and Trek- branded Bontrager parts mean that this bike is ready to race, adjust, and even work on right out of the box. As superbikes go, the Speed Concept is one of the more user-friendly builds, and its incredibly smooth ride makes this one of the “kindest” bikes we reviewed. Those looking for a bike with lightning acceleration may want to spend a bit more, but for 90 percent of tris, the soft ride, decent cornering, and fantastic stability make this a great choice for all distances.
