Approximately 1,500 athletes are gearing up to take on Challenge Wanaka this Saturday in New Zealand—and we’re freaking jealous! The athletes—traveling in from 31 different nations—will compete across the full iron distance, half iron distance, and aqua bike formats. The pro field is also quite impressive, with two-time Ironman 70.3 world champion and five-time ITU world champion Javier Gomez traveling to Wanaka for the first time in his career. (See the pro start list here.)

Over 960 local school children will also line up on Friday to take part in 10th edition of the Puzzling World Junior Challenge Wanaka in the region’s largest primary school event.

Enjoy these scenic photos from 2017, and then add this one to the bucket list!
