British media darling fares well in challenging Scotland duathlon over the weekend.
Superfit Pippa Middleton conquered one of Britain’s toughest endurance races yesterday, the Highland Cross Challenge duathlon in the north of Scotland.
She arrived by helicopter and chatted with fellow athletes before the start.
Pippa was part of a three-strong team competing in the annual race, which sees competitors running 20 miles – six miles short of a marathon – through a remote glen before a grueling 30-mile bike ride.
She showed fine form on the day, though, arriving in the end town of Beauly in five hours and nine minutes to finish within the top 15 women – in a field of 160.
“I am really tired,” she said after completing the muddy course in heavy winds. “It was one of the toughest things I have done. I don’t know if I will do it again, but I am really pleased to have finished.”
