A note from the author:
For years, [my husband] Jason and I have spent countless hours in the world of triathlons. Jason competed in numerous races and I was always there to cheer him on. When we had our son we continued to be faithful fans and I yielded questions like "Why is daddy always running?" and "Where is daddy going so early in the morning?" Being a first grade teacher I can break things down pretty well but the abstract concept of training and racing was hard to put into words. I often thought "I wish there was a book I could read to help our son envision the wonderful world of triathlons." So...I wrote one.
Our son (and now our daughter) love to see their own face on each page as they become the main character of this interactive story. It has become a bedtime favorite for many families and continues to encourage the importance of physical fitness and family support.
This has been a labor of love as I teamed up with the incredibly talented Kristie Frudden for illustrations. We are very proud that this vision has become a reality to share with all of you. We hope you enjoy our children's triathlon book!
