Specialized Shiv Elite

The Draw: Big Performance, Little Price

Though more on the harsher side of ride quality, the Shiv Elite also provided a very snappy platform when standing up on the pedals over short, quick climbs. A very cool in-frame integrated hydration system also does a lot to make this an incredibly stable descender— between the frame’s geometry and the lowered center of gravity. The thick aero tubes are a visual plus and surprisingly weren’t an issue in heavy crosswinds. But the ride over rough pavement could use some supplemental dampening for dedicated long-course use. Still, at this price, the Shiv Elite is begging for you to turn it into your favorite, all-around, race-ready ride.
